Altered Capital’s Laura Manson receives Aspiring Women in Private Capital Award
The New Zealand Private Capital Association announced Altered Capital’s Laura Manson as the winner of this year’s celebrated Aspiring Women in Private Capital Award.
The accolade was announced at the association’s annual conference in Queenstown on 19 October.
Commenting on the awards, NZ Private Capital Executive Director, Colin McKinnon said: “Laura Manson is a high-calibre contributor to the private capital community. Laura has built an excellent reputation and extensive networks in the private capital industry, with deep expertise across investing, M&A, and strategy. Not just extremely talented, Laura works hard, is diligent, professional, and always remains authentic – a quality that resonates when representing the industry to founders, funders, and institutions”.
The Aspiring Women in Private Capital award was judged on key milestones achieved, and leadership experience to date. The finalist’s contributions to the industry, innovation, and efforts to promote diversity and inclusiveness in the industry were also key considerations.
McKinnon adds: “The NZ Private Capital Aspiring Women Award recognises the young women in private equity and venture capital firms who are developing into the industry leaders of the future.
“The award is for young people wanting to make a difference and accelerate their ambitions for leadership roles.”
